Here's to you!


I want to start this blog out by extending my warmest, heartfelt, "thank you", to all the people who have made all of the stories I will be sharing with the World possible....Lovely customers, supportive managers and all of the friendly chefs/cooks out there! Thank you, sincerely for all you say and do.

I realized this summer there needs to be a forum for servers to share their stories. There have been many a night, where I would sit with fellow food slingers chatting and listening to stories. Some stories are shocking, some are the "Oh, I've been there", and still more are down-right hysterical. I want to share not only my experiences, but I also would like to hear from all those standing in the server stations of hell.

So, here's to all those who have served, or are serving in this World. From the counter of the local corner diner to the finest four-star, celebrity chef, restaurant, thank you for all you do.

Lastly, here's to all those patrons who pass through our lives. It may only be for a brief bite to eat, or a few precious hours of fine dining, but you can rest assure you are remembered in our hearts and minds forever. Yes, how can we forget how patient and pleasant you all are, ex-specially since you tend to be the only one in the room. Your knowledge of exactly how a filet mignon should be cooked and just how fresh the fish is, well, it simply blows the minds of chefs everywhere, not to mention, it also endears us to them all the more. We would truly be amiss, if we forget to mention just how warm and fuzzy we felt the first time you snapped your fingers at us, left that generous 10% tip, referred to us as "that one" and kindly request to speak to our manager to express just how happy you are. Thank you all for everything. It truly has been a pleasure....Yeah right, grat that!
